As of now Nepal has reported only 52 coronavirus infection cases and zero deaths.
While the Nepali Government is striving to implement best strategies to protect its country from the impact of COVID-19, the Nepalis living abroad are reeling under adverse socio-economic implications.
According to the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), a total of 1,983 Nepalis have been infected and 49 have died in 24 foreign countries.
Nepalis residing in the American and European countries are at high stake as these counties are grappling under the colossal impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The NRNA has collected the data with the help of Nepalis Embassies, NRNA branches and local communities in respective countries.
The number of deaths can be even higher as the families of the deceased may not inform the media and even the healthcare authorities do not make the death details public without the consent of the concerned families.
On the contrary, the number of coronavirus cases in Nepal is very low. As of today, the Nepali Government has reported only 52 coronavirus positive cases and zero death cases. However, 12 patients have already recovered and discharged.
