SPAIN – A Spanish news anchor sparked a national scandal after a naked woman who was not his girlfriend was caught in the background as he hosted a live video from his home.
Alfonso Merlos, 41, was doing a live broadcast on Estado de Alarma channel when a naked woman was seen walking behind him.
Viewers believed the woman is Alexia Rivas, a fellow journalist of Merlos who is believed to be dating Spanish Big Brother star Marta Lopez.

Merlos has insisted he has split with Lopez after the scandal broke out. He has since spoken publicly to apologize to Lopez on The Ana Rosa show.
“If you think that my attitude has not been correct or that there are things that I have not done well,” he said, “I have no problem asking for forgiveness, although my goal was not to harm someone else.”
Lopez has said she was still in a relationship with Merlos at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, Rivas, the woman in the video, said that the anchor had told her he was single.
The world has been quarantined for over a month due to the coronavirus pandemic most people are working from home. There have been instances of topless parents walking in on reporters’ at-home live shots, video conference participants going to the bathroom in front of co-workers, some forgetting their camera on camera and now just earlier Will Reeve forgot to wear his pants while being on air.
