A girl got stuck in a washing machine while playing hide and seek with her cousins. Firefighters were called to rescue her.
A game of hide and seek ended with firefighters rescuing a girl stuck in a washing machine. Yes, you read that right.
18-year-old Amari Dancy was playing the game with her cousins when she decided to hide herself in a washing machine. “We already had hid underneath the bed, in the closet, and we couldn’t go down into the basement,” the teen told NBC News. “So, I was like ‘Oh, ok, let’s just hide in the washer machine,” she added.
One of her cousins found her stuck in the machine and alerted others, after which the emergency service was called for help.
In a video shared online, a team of firefighters wearing masks can be seen rescuing the girl. They removed the top of the machine and made enough space to pull the girl out.
The incident was captured on camera by the girl’s aunt who was heard saying, “kids will be kids.”
“I was really worried to see if they were going to get me out or not,” the teen said. “Once they figured out what to do… I just felt relieved. I just wanted to be out of there,” Dancy told the portal while speaking about the incident.
